again forget about them and bring some new contents and producers who got promising story lines and show can become hit irrespective of shoe string budgets. Even many high budget shows didnt do well in the past and one can't just blame the budget. Content is the king.

If you wants series based on Everest how can you underestimate budget if you want Aamir Khan's program how can he work for less price. I am not denying less budget serials are not doing well but compare to SAB and Big Magic, Zee having more numbers.

There isn't any logic in saying Aamir or Ashutosh won't do a show for Zee. You should have the courage to launch and experiment with off beat kind of shows and concepts which Star always does. If Zee is ready to air such shows , production houses are always ready. Blaming it on budget is not an answer .Personally I have never seen Zee trying to do any off beat kind of show.

Here something to do with mentality of the promoters & also budget.
I remember when Colors was launched, then CEO Behl said that he will fight only for top position & would kill the channel after burning up the money instead of fighting for 4-5th place.

This is what Raghav Behl said exactly......

“Yes, it would cost hundreds of crores, but we were clear that we would rather burn hundreds of crores in a high voltage launch and win or flame out, as against die a slow and painful death with a hundred small cuts, struggling every day in the Number 4 or 5 position, draining away cash and energy, shoulders drooping, simply waiting for the inevitable closure. We were sure that we had to enter with the mind-set of a leader.”

So this mindset coupled with backing & finance from Reliance could easily snatch #1 position from Star if positioned properly......

So the question is will Zee ever able to match this, change its attitude & position the channel properly by experimenting with the content........or will just keep changing logos & rebraning itself......
