Breaking News Zee TV to be rebranded from oct. with new time slots

Subhash Chandra-led ZEEL’s Hindi entertainment channel Zee TV is in the process of rebranding. The network is planning to bring in new time slots on weekends, and is also planning to expand prime time on weekdays.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, Zee TV deputy business head Deepak Rajadhyaksha confirmed the news. Says he: "We are in the process of rebranding the channel -- by October, we will launch the new look.”

Regardless of rebranding, Rajadhyaksha said, the line-up will remain the same on the channel. “But, we are expanding the prime time on weekends and weekdays, both,” he added.

The channel is launching two slots on weekends, the new offering from Zee -- India’s Best Judwaa will be launched at 8pm on 22 July, and another season of Fear Files will be aired at 1030pm.

“The positioning of the channel will remain the same, but it will be refined. The positioning will be the same but the approach will be fresh,” he said.

The channel is currently riding high with shows like ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Lil Champs’ pushing the channel to a stronger position amongst its rivals. The channel has also delivered very well with recent movie premieres of ‘Dangal’ (2016) and ‘Raees’ (2017).

ZEE TV deputy business head Deepak Rajadhyaksha confirmed the news to Indian Television, “We are in the process of rebranding the channel, by October, we will launch the new look.”

He added, “The positioning of the channel will remain the same, but it will be refined. The positioning will be the same but the approach will be fresh.”

Incidentally, the channel will be celebrating its anniversary in October also.
