HBO Premium channels are not available in any base pack of any DTH and in dishtv all UTV channels are removed from the base pack which d2h users are getting so we also a losers. (BTW I am keep getting :p )

&pictures is free to all base packages on promotional basis and if you had seen the fine print on d2h website, it mentions that it can be removed after certain time from base pack. Hence max2 might be replacing it soon.
Would anyone subscribe to this channel as it airs movies from zee library that is already shown on sister channels?

Which Channel you're talking about SONY MAX 2 or & Pictures.

"Channels Sahara One, Filmy, Zee Madhya Pradesh-Chattisgarh, &pictures, Zee Khana Khazana, Zee Q, and MGM being currently offered by us on complimentary and promotional basis as a part of a Package will be available on our platform only till 31st August 2014, Channels Saam TV and Mahua till 9th July 2014 and will not be so offered thereafter. Channels Sahara Samay National, Sahara Samay Bihar/JH, Sahara Samay MP/CG and Sahara Samay Rajasthan also being currently offered on complimentary and promotional basis as a part of a Package will be available on the platform only till 31st August 2014 and will not be so offered thereafter."

As some user had told earlier that max2 might come on base package when &pictures is removed.

Yes I knows that but there is no comparison between SONY MAX 2 and & Pictures its a great channel as they also show Hollywood Movies which ZEE's other Movies channel not use to show also SONY don't have enough classic movies library so its already struggling and they can't survive until and unless they don't run SooryaVansham.
