Broadcaster Star India has agreed to give an undertaking to the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) to do all future deals with multi-system operators (MSOs) on the basis of reference interconnect offer (RIO) to ensure parity till there is clarity in the matter.
The broadcaster said that it will not negotiate deals with MSOs. The existing agreements will, however, be exempt from the undertaking.
The TDSAT had asked the broadcaster whether it would agree to consider RIO as the only option till there is clarity in the matter.
Star India counsel Rakesh Dwivedi stated that the broadcaster was willing to file an affidavit tomorrow. The broadcaster will also wrap up its arguments tomorrow.
Dwivedi stated that under DAS regulations, broadcasters and MSOs are permitted to negotiate agreements. However, if the negotiations fail, then the MSO has to take the channels on RIO.

and that would affect the viewership bro, also this might lead to hathway shut the business down.
Its not about Hathway but over all TDSAT ask the stand of STAR because they fight almost all party and so for future aspect if they fail to negotiate with any party then what would be their stand as they say they will offer Ala Carte it means now MSO have to pay extra or have to sit into their knees.

Also regarding viewership they're FDI based network they will never short of money they can spend any kind of price to be no. 1 so headache of we viewers who want STAR.
