I have given my answer plz understand that, GB is not important, te important thing is what is the amount of bandwidth allotted to that channel. Amount of recording that can be done depends upon that. If i can run a UHD channel in same space as that of HD channels using advanced technology so the amount of GB storage is not an issue, if it is sufficient for HD then its sufficient for UHD too

Is it possible to broadcast SD channels using this HEVC codec.....of course then everyone should have 4K STB.....

Of Course it possible but then the concerned DTH operator would have to upgrade all old MPEG2 and MPEG4 STB to HEVC STB

Hi all.

The program guide on my DVR STB is showing the current and next channel only on all the channels. Till yesterday it was showing the program guides for up to 24 hours (or may be even more as I hadn't taken notice). Not a total game breaker, but its very frustrating specially when I'm trying to schedule records. The nice lady at customer care has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about.

FYI, the regular STB in another room shows the full program guide. This issue is only occurring with DVR STB. Wondering if anyone else is having the same issue or know a fix?

at times EPG takes time to load so it is not an issue.

Infact what i have learnt is that both Tata SKy and d2h would be using HEVC codec only to launch 4K services.

It may be temporary issue. Restart your DVR and check EPG. It may take some time to load. If still it didn't worked, contact d2h officials.

The satellite scan speed has again slowed down by recent activities of d2h.
