Hathway HD PVR cost is Rs.7999 and TATA Sky 4K UHD Set Top Box is Rs.6400 .

what is the difference between the two boxes ?

Which box is better ? 4K UHD (OR) HD PVR of HATHWAY ?

why cant we compare them Now ?

market mein Yehi two boxes abhi Popular hai na ?

so i asked which is the better one ?

Technology wise both are different.hathway HD PVR means it will have recording option and providing HD.and UHD box means it will provide 4K UHD means more than 4 times HD.

Hi Ravinder,

Hathway HD PVR is like Tata sky HD+. Both have 500gb internal memory to record your program and displays HD channels at 1080i(1920 X1080 @50i) resolution, whereas as bhaskarkilli bhai has mentioned Tata Sky 4k UHD box displays few channels at 4 times HD that is 2160p (3840 X 2160 @50p)

You might what to go with 4K Box only if you have 4k TV else it doesnt make any sence. Also note that right now there is only few channels that are being broadcasted at 4k resolution. ICC World Cup 2014 is one of them.

Typically a 4K set top box will upscale full HD videos to 4K resolution but it isnt true 4K.

Somebody please help me In understanding SD and HD channels.

Q.1 ) Suppose If i purchase Hathway HD box and if i do not pay for HD channels , will i still be Getting SD channels Freely ?

Q.2) Do SD channels managed by LCO or HATHWAY head Office ?

Q.3) Do I need to inform my LCO about HD box if i purchase it from the hathway headoffice ?
