Clarifying his earlier statement in the FabIndia voyerisum case that the placement of the camera was not intentional, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that he said so because the cameras were not inside the trial rooms.

"I was given to understand that the camera was not inside the trial room. That is why I felt that it was not intentional. I felt all my responses were serious. Only in one instance I said that it was not intentional," he said.

He also claimed that it was not because Union Minister Smriti Irani raised the issue that strict action is being taken. "Even if a layman or simple woman would have complained, we would have taken the same action," he said.

Whatever be the case, but it was a shameful act on the part of fabindia. Image of Goa has been tarnished because of this incident

Not exactly. There are some spare cases which get blown into big proportions.
There are some cases in North Goa belt like in Calangute Baga areas.
But these groups operate very surreptitiously - not like what is shown in movies. A common man from Goa has no idea of what are drugs and where to get them.

Yup, sporadic cases like this give a bad name to Goa. .In addition, certain belly wood movies provide a stereotypical image of Goa- a Goa completely unknown to us the real Goans! Don't know where do these filmwallahs get these ideas!

Filmwalah and media show the worst patches of any state. For mumbai it was shown that its a city of gangsters and bar gals which wasn't reality.

That is exactly my point. Sometimes tourists who stop by for directions ask for such strange things that I feel like slapping them then and there . They are under an impression that each and every Goan they see on the road is under the influence of booze! And every girl/woman here is of easy character. Idiots.... and this has been because of the movies and media. Movies like Josh and Dum Maaro Dum.
I really appreciate the films like Kabhie Haan Kabhie Naa which tried to bring before the real Goa. Or the films like O Maria and Aleesha which bring forward the issues in Goa
