Clarifying his earlier statement in the FabIndia voyerisum case that the placement of the camera was not intentional, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that he said so because the cameras were not inside the trial rooms.
"I was given to understand that the camera was not inside the trial room. That is why I felt that it was not intentional. I felt all my responses were serious. Only in one instance I said that it was not intentional," he said.
He also claimed that it was not because Union Minister Smriti Irani raised the issue that strict action is being taken. "Even if a layman or simple woman would have complained, we would have taken the same action," he said.
