there is no encryption method apply to box that means all channels are FTA.
currently all channels are mpeg 2 they are planning to upgrade mpeg 4 future (box mpeg 4 support).
funny thing is
this box never get deactivate(no recharge due date)
after 2 month free period over customer should pay Rs.317(including vat) per month.
if customer do not pay after free period dishtv company will send a notice to customer which is mention that due payment.
if still customer do not pay the arrears, dishtv send a special notice to particular dealer who activate the box to customer which is mention please claim the set-of box from that customer.
then dealer go customer place and bring back the box.
and another big funny is dealer can have that claimed box forever
