500 GB DVR of d2h is a complete flop. After it got flop, it was pulled out of market.
And all those who have purchased are suffering. We have 2 members here and both are unhappy with the new DVR. So, if you are looking something nice for recording purpose, then d2h is out of option.

I think 500 gb dvr is still available in market at list here.
BTW after a recent software update (not automatic but manual), the scenario is somehow different for me. It's 50% better than earlier. Speed, boot time improves a lot, it's not misbehaving now as earlier.& it includes some more improvement in various aspects. Although there is much more scope for improvement. I suggest 500 GB dvr users to ask company to give a manual update which is already available with d2h's staffs.

When did you got this update bro ?? Is recording happening perfectly now. I mean all scheduled recording are happening according to EPG or some still fails ?

After update it never fails till now. I have two scheduled recording daily n it's working flawlessly.

I mentioned it in a thread (menu not showing with dvr n new led related one) few days ago.The d2h staff manually updated my dvr in a service visit regarding the menu(syncing) issue.

Yes I am looking for a good provider with recording facility of 2 channels simultaneously like TS .. Your review on D2H DVR is bad so now that goes out of question .. I was very happy when they launched 500gb DVR as d2h has my favorite channel travel XP HD .. what are the alternates now since TS is also a flop in channel addition ?? Hathway sadly does not have a DVR in HD else it would also be a good option ..

In current scenario, it would not be an intelligent decision to invest on a DVR. I think we should better wait and watch untill either TS adds channel or d2h comes with a good DVR.
