The engineer just came but he forgot to bring adapter (6666 box works with a 12V adapter.) :facepalm: He'll come again tomorrow.

He told me that that it would be his first instance of swapping a 6666 box. As It is only installed for new connections.

I also asked him why all the previous boxes which were swapped had warranty seal torn off?
He replied that the boxes used for swapping are generally repaired ones.

I said- Lagta hai Box bina repair kiye hi bhej dete hain d2h waale. -_-
The swapped boxes are generally repaired ones as I said earlier.

The adaptor is supposed to be inside the box. It seems like they have messed up again with the box.

Yes. They already open a box to take out HDMI and AV cables. Although the warranty seal of Fine was fine and it was a brand new box. I've whatsapped the nodal officer about this open box thing.


Tell them to bring a new one since its not your fault.

This stb was brought from Noida especially for my complaint.
I don't think they'd dare to install an old one. Otherwise my complaint will go on to the next level.

The box has been installed just now. Within few minutes it got an OTA update e08 (18 Feb).
This box is surely better than all previous boxes 2222, 2233, 555-B. Channel changing speed is better indeed.
It doesn't skips 2-3 channels like previous d2h boxes. But UI seems to be filled with ads everywhere. Even on reducing values there comes ad.

d2h logo is more opaque and visible than other boxes.
There are many new options which I have to check. Screensaver, and all.

Engineer called his office to get it swapped but got a reply that they'll have to send a mail to get it swapped. Told me to wait for 3 hours. :mad:
