One of the American tradition of announcing of nominations for the best works from the United States of America, sort of broke the tradition today.

Embracing the future, in a way, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences did not hold a press conference, did not invite any one from the press although keeping the announcers within the members of the academy.

This year the academy chose to live stream this event on Web, accompanied by a national TV broadcast on 'Good Morning America' of ABC Network.

Not sure about that movie. I checked the list again, could not see any movie with such a title. Perhaps you could give me the IMDB link I could search on the web for you.
NP I will ask him to show proof

It's the year of La La Land.
Yeah, such a nice film. Reminded me of Singing in the Rain and some of the old bollywood classics. Although a musical this was different from others that I have seen in the recent times. Hope the actors win :)

But I still think Manchester by the Sea would take the acting category awards, and maybe the movie too.

Nominated movies at times would be not our cup of tea.
Some of these did not make much noise, but are good movies.
Oscars also has a tradition of nominating mostly drama, very rarely comedy gets a nod. Manchester, Hacksaw are all high drama driven by a strong script of course.
