WWE Raw Results : 2/6/17
— The show opened with a recap of the Triple H/Seth Rollins feud and the Samoa Joe attack from last week. Then Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon invited Samoa Joe to the ring to sign a Raw contract, and Foley was not happy about it. Joe signed his contract and then put the entire roster on notice, saying he would destroy everyone’s heroes. Roman Reigns came to the ring and told Joe he should try to threaten him. Foley made a match between Joe and Reigns tonight.
1. Nia Jax defeated Bayley. Bayley looked to have the match won by countout, but Charlotte Flair ran to the ring to interrupt the count. Bayley drove Charlotte off, but Nia recovered and hit a Samoan Drop for the pin.
2. Handicap Match: Braun Strowman defeated local talents. Strowman fought four men by himself, but had no problem doing so. One of his opponents ran away, and he hit the running powerslam and piled up his other three opponents and pinned them all at once.
— After the match, Strowman grabbed the microphone and again challenged Foley for tougher competition. He went backstage and found Foley and said he wants everyone. Foley made a match between Strowman and Reigns at Fastlane.
3. Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak. This was Tozawa’s Raw debut. He hit a snap German suplex to get the pin on Gulak.
— Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho came to the ring. Jericho suggested the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania should be a title vs. title match between the two of them. Owens said he didn’t know whether he could fight his best friend. Goldberg then came out and challenged them to step aside, or take him on, 2-on-1, right now. They stepped aside.
Goldberg responded to Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar’s challenge from last week and accepted their match against Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. Owens applauded the announcement, then Goldberg challenged Owens to a championship match at Fastlane. Jericho started to object, but then Goldberg put his own name on the List of Jericho. Goldberg stared Jericho down until he accepted the Universal Championship match at Fastlane on Owens’ behalf.
4. Raw Championship Match: The Club (c) defeated Cesaro and Sheamus. Big Cass and Enzo Amore were at ringside for the match. When the action spilled to the outside, Enzo kicked Luke Gallows, forcing the referee to call for the disqualification and award the match to The Club.
5. The New Day defeated The Shining Stars. The New Day was able to hit the Midnight Hour double-team finisher for the pinfall victory.
— The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express were announced as the newest inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame.
6. United States Championship Match: Chris Jericho (c) defeated Sami Zayn. When the referee’s back was turned, Kevin Owens hit Zayn with a superkick, allowing Jericho to hit a Codebreaker and get the pin to retain his title.
— Austin Aries interviewed Neville in the ring and let him know that on Tuesday night’s 205 Live, there would be a Fatal Five-Way match to determine a new No. 1 contender. Aries asked Neville which of the competitors he was most afraid of. Neville said that all of them will bend their knee to the King of the Cruiserweights. Slowly, all five participants came to the ring: Cedric Alexander, Noam Dar, Jack Gallagher, Tony Nese, and TJ Perkins. Aries kept voicing his displeasure at the interruptions. The interview broke down into a six-way brawl. Cedric took out the other four challengers with a dive, and Neville posed in the ring with his championship.
7. Jack Gallagher, TJ Perkins and Cedric Alexander defeated Neville, Noam Dar and Tony Nese. Neville refused to accept a tag from Dar, and left with his title. Cedric hit Dar with the Lumbar Check and scored the pinfall.
8. Samoa Joe defeated Roman Reigns. Reigns was about to go to for the spear when Braun Strowman came to the ring. Reigns hit Strowman with a Superman Punch, but Joe then hit Reigns with an enzuigiri and then a uranage to get the pin.
— After the match, Strowman continued to beat down Reigns, hitting him with the running powerslam and then attacking him with the ring steps on the outside of the ring. He drove Reigns through the ringside barricade with another running powerslam and posed over Reigns as the show went off the air.

Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring. Foley welcomes the hottest free agent of the New Era, Samoa Joe. Foley was forced to say that. Samoa Joe makes his way to the ring dressed in a suit. Roman Reigns’ music hits, and he makes his way to the ring to a big reception. Reigns gets in the ring and introduces himself as the baddest man to step foot in WWE. From the moment Joe signed that contract, that means he’s in his yard. Joe can shut his mouth or he’ll cave it in. Foley tries to stop them. Joe may have loyalty to one man, but he’s still the General Manager, which means he has loyalty to everyone in the building. Foley books Samoa Joe to face Roman Reigns tonight! The crowd reacts huge to that. McMahon taps Joe on the shoulder, and he finally leaves the ring.

Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho make their way to the ring to a big reaction. The crowd chants, “Y2J,” and Jericho looks disgusted. Owens says he stood in this ring last week and has been talking about proving people wrong his entire career. Last Monday night, he did it again because nobody gave him a fighting chance against a monster like Braun Strowman, yet tonight he stands in the ring still as the WWE Universal Champion. Goldberg’s music hits, and he makes his way through the backstage area while the arena chants his name. The sparks fire up. Goldberg walks through them and exhales smoke before his pyrotechnics go off. Goldberg gets in the ring, as the crowd continues to chant his name. Goldberg says, “You’ve got two choices, ladies. You step aside and live or you see if you can grow a pair, step up to the plate, and take me on two-on-one, right here, right now.” Owens and Jericho step to the side. Goldberg says last week on RAW, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar challenged him to one last fight at WrestleMania 33. He’s never been one to ever turn down a fight, so he accepts the challenge! It’ll be Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar one more time at WrestleMania 33. A “Goldberg” chant fires up. Jericho says Goldberg has a big, fat mouth. He never liked him, so if he wants a match at Fastlane, he’s got a match at Fast Lane. At Fast Lane, it’s Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. Owens is not happy about this development. Goldberg says, “Kevin Owens, it looks like you and your title are NEXT!” Goldberg then walks off while Owens argues with Jericho in the ring.

Austin Aries is in the ring to interview the WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Neville. Aries thanks Neville for the exclusive interview. Former champion Rich Swann suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out of action after he attacked Neville on RAW. Aries then says tomorrow on 205 Live, it’ll be TJ Perkins, Tony Nese, Cedric Alexander, Noam Dar, and Jack Gallagher competing in a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match to face Neville at Fastlane. Cedric Alexander comes out to no reaction. He says nothing when Noam Dar interrupts him. Dar says it would be great if he stole the title from Neville just like he stole Alicia Fox. Jack Gallagher comes out and says the king of the cruiserweights should be a gentleman. Tony Nese comes out and just gets in the ring. Finally, TJ Perkins comes out to an extremely light reaction. Perkins says unlike them, he was the Cruiserweight Champion. In fact, he was the first one. Perkins says he’ll win it again. As for Neville, they’ve got some unfinished business. Perkins then attacks Nese, and a brawl breaks out. The crowd is sitting on their hands for this. Gallagher is left in the ring with Neville, and he dropkicks him out to a polite response. Dar pulls Gallagher out of the ring. Perkins hits a corkscrew plancha, and Nese hits a plancha of his own. Alexander then hits a plancha. Neville fakes a plancha and taunts the crowd.
