As i have checked in TS website - Regional Packs, No. of Channels still not migrated to MPEG4:
Kannada Pack : 2 (ETV Kannada, Udaya TV)
Telugu Pack : 8 (ETV Telugu, ETV2, Gemini Movies, Gemini TV, MAA Movies, MAA TV, TV9, Zee Telugu)
Bengali/Odia Pack : 13 (Aakaash Bangla, ETV Bangla, ETV Odia, 24 Ghanta, OTV, Rupashi Bangla, Star Jalsha, Star Jalsha Movies, Sangeet Bangla, Sony Aath, ABP Ananda, Tarang, Zee Bangla)

Has tatasky gone into hibernation? I haven't heard about any channel getting migrated to MPEG4 in last few days.

Or is it that there are so many boxes to be replaced, they are going slow?

MAy be they are slow to replace with so many boxes or they might be slow due to arrival of STBs from the Manufacturer...

Seems some difference between the New connection STB and the MPEG-4 replacement STB. My friend bought HD connection and that HD STB is different from my HD STB received as HD Upgrade MPEG-4 offer,

Yup. it was changed on 18th morning at around 10 AM. All of my 4 remaining SD boxes got changed on that day.
They told that they were out of stock and they had pending W/O of 1000s which they can't do earlier due to shortage of STbs. now they got enough boxes to complete the pending w/o s.
Also as 1 Bengali channel (most wanted) got added in MPEG4, there is a huge demand in Kolkata for MPEG4 upgradation.
