Guys,

Bought Sony Bravia Android TV.

There is one thing that i am not clear with. In my previous sony bravia, all channels from tata sky had almost equal volume levels.
The new TV however has low audio for many channels and high audio for news channels. Even putting the volume at 50% doesnt increase the volume much, and the TV technician said that i will have to put on Home Theatre along with TV to increase volume.

Anyone knows how to fix as i feel its not STB settings as it was working well with old previous sony led TV.

Check whether Dolby digital is turned off for hdmi and pcm is selected for it in your stb. As usually dolby sound is lower in comparison to other.

STB settings are as it is. The Audio levels were fine previous LED TV, the new TV however its not same. And SD channels are louder then HD. This wasnt the case in old tv

Thats the same issue i had as my previous led was not supporting Dolby and hence changing audio would not change anything but my new led had support for dolby and hd channels volume was low and we can't control that with remote until pcm was selected.

Also technician had no info. He was like not aware of the settings in TV Audio.

There is a option Headphone Audio Link, which was tuned ON by default. Keeping it ON will make Audio only come from Home Theatre, while TV will have no sound. Using TV volume would decrease the volume on HT also. I put this option OFF and now i can control both volume independently, they are no more linked.

In HD channels that have DD, are you able to control vol on dth remote or t.v.?

Ok. On channels having DD/DD+ even if i put STB volume 0, i still get audio from TV/Home Theatre, while SD channels have no audio.

If i lower volume on TV remote all channels have no audio
