Tata was already looking for merger of its telecom business but deal didn't went through with Vodafone due to loss of Tata.

This time they are attaching their profitable unit Tata Sky too along with Tata tele and Tata Communication so that valuation would be high.

I am sure Airtel won't miss this as this will make them biggest operator ever. And also help in countering Jio in terms of telecom and dth business
