HD Acess Fee is a mess in one more sense. According to trai mandate (if I am correct) to have a-la-carte pack, or what we call in Tata Sky Make my Pack. Rule to pick anything 150rs plus and make a pack. Just imagine if I want to view star world hd, how would my pack appear? Hd acess fee and sw hd = 100+60>150 hence my pack. So i watch sw hd alone in a-la-carte pack.

Policy says it should not be less than ₹ 150 but it may have a bigger value. I think we can raise this matter with Star Network . Do anyone have mail I'd of Star World Premiere and media pro officials.

Then please clear my confusion on below scenarios,
1. Why then discovery channel is sd version of discovery world hd. If i take discovery channel and hd access fee then discovery hd automatically becomes available?
2. In case I agree to your argument that there is no sd version of channels like ten hd or star world premiere hd then please explain for a channel which does not have sd version why I need to pay hd access fee. Hd access fee by definition allows me to view hd channel for which sd channels i am subscribed to.
Now please confirm if just paying 60 rs is fine for ten hd or I need to pay hd access fee as well. If i need to pay hd access fee then please also explain the logic based on example i have give above in two points.

I was fan of tata sky. And had a huge hope with gsat 10 or mpeg 4 migration. I thought dream time will come. But in adtv or in d2h for example i can watch all hd channels in 220+175 or so and here at count 14 itself it is almost gone case. Just compare with even dish tv which has absurd rules for hd customer but still at 399rs 22 true hd channels and almost all sd channels. I mean how can someone justify for one channel like ten hd 60 or 85 plus 100 vs 31 rs in adtv in a la carte.

Looks like will have to settle with thick logo of adtv. Dream to come back to tata sky shattered. others have such a bad dvr interface that anyway cant think of them.

Same here. I was very happy when I purchased Tata Sky because of their product and services but within months I felt that I have been caught up in a situation.
