Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd. plans to launch two new channels in Punjab and Kerala to increase its regional offerings to eleven local languages.
Both channels will be launched by the next fiscal, Punit Goenka, managing director and chief executive officer of the company told BloombergQuint.
“We will leave no stone unturned for Kerala and Punjab markets. From where we stand today, we see no opportunity for acquisitions, so it has to be greenfield,” he said.
In Kerala, the company plans to launch a general entertainment channel while for Punjab, it will be a hybrid between music and films, he added.
