Thank you for your email dated 15th October 2013 addressed to our Chief Executive Officer ,expressing your concern over the Star World Premiere HD Channel , HD Access Fee pack, package and pricing.
Thank you for your mail and keen interest in Tata Sky. We have made a note of your feedback and suggestions on our package and pricing .
Firstly, may we take this opportunity to inform you that Star World Premiere HD is the first channel launched under the category of Tata Sky “Specials”. This is a first in the industry as well as for Tata Sky customers. With this Channel, you will be able to watch the latest bigger shows at the same time as American Subscribers. As a premium special service, it is the only channel that has 26 new and returning shows. We do plan to add more premium services like this in the near future.
In other words, Premium Special channels like “Star World HD premier” will require a separate subscription. May we also take this opportunity to reiterate that this never- before “Special” is available to you at a very special price of only Rs.60 per month, Rs.300/- for Semi Annual Pack and Rs.500/- for Annual Pack.
HD Access Fee :The Channel packages offered by Tata Sky are genre based. So that our subscribers have the flexibility of picking & choosing their packages based on genres of programs they typically watch & Tata Sky ensures that the subscriber then gets all channels in the chosen genre. Thus subscribers pay only for what they watch. To add further flexibility of choice, in addition to packages by genre, all channels are also available on a la carte basis.
At the time the channels were introduced, they were all bundled together. But the HD channels grew on the platform & so also the price. Instead of getting subscribers to pay an increasing price for HD, genre packaging was introduced on HD too. So once a subscriber picked his package, the HD feed of the channels he preferred automatically were made available to him by way of an HD access fee.

Rs 60 is ok for me till Star World Premiere HD don't show any ads . but if it special why we need HD access subscription for it ? . though it make no sense coz PPL not buy HD STB to watch only Star World Premiere HD .
main problem is TEN HD. it must be activated if you have ten sports or HD access policy is useless . and customer of mega pack must get Star World Premiere HD till there subscription end .

But monthly subscription is deducted on per day basis and protection by clause 9A is only for advance payment and for new subscribers(less than 6 months). So I think monthly subscription is not eligible to get credit.
While agreeing with your view I must say a loss is always a loss. Let TS compensate me at pro rata basis up to next due date. May it be a meagre amount. But since there isn't such provision in law TS has a plea. But morally they are liable to compensate their customers. Let them fill the blank place with two channels of same genre and cost.

As per my previous mail, a person claimed as TS Nodal officer talked to me for around 30 minutes and he is also telling the channels count as 300+ shortly. I expressed all concerns mainly related to HD Access Fee, New package additions in Special Category, Cost part when compared with other DTHs etc etc. He told he will pass all concerns to the concerned team and if there is any positive reply from them, he will inform me.
Twist TDSAT serves notice on Tata Sky for dropping NEO channels - The Hindu now ts is ready to give refund for neo channels. Also positive sign to stop hd access policy forced by TDSAT

Where ? The Hindu report is all about NEO removal and SWP HD's inclusion in special category which is not available to MEGA pack.
where i mention that it stopped, read it carefully bro. Its
positive sign for its happening because ts never stop by itself only they can stop if regulatory body force to them. All will clear on 27 november
Yesterday i checked TEN HD, they have activated for me, it was coming....i think they will debit that rs. 61.80 after completion of 1 month...
Could not find anything related to hd access free. Can you elaborate more?
