My mail to D2H customer care and CEO Anil Khera.

Greetings,


This mail is in regard to Price Hike of Rs. 40 for the Platinum HD subscribers after the addition of Star Sports 2 is totally unacceptable under any circumstances as its a very steep hike for a single channel addition.


Requesting you to roll back the Price hike and put SS2 under Ala carte pack so who so ever wish to subscribe it they can subscribe and not force it on Platinum HD subscriber only.


If at all there will be Price Hike than much demanded and expecting HD channel additions from D2h end for which i had forwarded my suggestions along with demanded channels list to customer care many times before without even an acknowledgement from them.


The unprofessional attitude of the Customer care Proves that D2H has to learn and go a long way before becoming a true reckoning force in the DTH world when they cant even teach there Customer care of replying to any customer query.


The channel List which we can anticipate after the Price hike if at all D2H can justify it are:


1. Al Jazeera English.

2. Russia Today.

3. CCTV news.

4. Fox Traveller HD.

5. BABY TV HD.

6. NGC WILD HD.

7. NGC Music HD & SD too.

The pointer i have made above is very important for D2H to consider otherwise me and many other subscribers will opt out of D2H for surely and will go for another DTH Player.


Now the ball is in D2H court to either listen to customers or ignore them for there any good reason but if they dont listen to them than the D2H has to pay the ultimate price by not only loosing the customer but a sharp decrease in there ARPU which will ultimately affect there own Growth plans.


I sincerely trust that Mr. Anil is himself a genius to analyze all the Prons and Cons of the Price hike and ultimately he will take a better decision for all the people involved in it the Customer and the Company.


Will be glad if i'll get any fruitful reply from the D2H side.

IM Bhai please try to understand we always believe that D2H is serving the best among the others in terms of money that's why it's not expected from them. If D2H going to hike their packages twice or thrice in a year then the days are coming when the middle class couldn't effort DTH.

I agree Dyutiman bro but we must not forget that they added so many channels in last 1 year. they increased the channel count from 400 to almost 500 . So, price hike was unevited. We all demanded more and more channel which would have forced d2h to add more and increase the price too.

2. Russia Today. - Who the hell would be interested in this unless he would be an Anarchy.

3. CCTV news. - What kind of channel is this ?

4. Fox Traveller HD. - Agree

5. BABY TV HD. - Again children younger than 5 years can hardly make differnece between SD and HD.

6. NGC WILD HD - Agree

7. NGC Music HD & SD too - Agree. Music Channel is always welcome in HD.

So, as per mine comments, i don't feel you demanded a strong list from d2h CEO. Instead you should have demanded HBO HD channels, Romedy Now+ and other regional channels.

I agree with you , IM bro.These ppl keep demanding for more and more channels and when they are added and price hiked (which is inevitable), these same guys cry foul. D2h or any other DTH is not there for charity, guys- Pls understand that- they've to run the business and make profits too.

Agree Dyutiman to quoted point....!!!!! D2h was best till the year of 2012 end...!!!! we are not against it..or biased..

Later on they shifted their business view from HD customers to SD customers only..once 2013 started...and rest is history till now..
D2h has added mostly only news and south SD-HD channels)(few are excluded like &Pictiures,Rishtey,Zee Anmol) during this period...quite injustice to other ROI-Regional and HD customers...

If Videocon d2h had added all these demnaded HD channels(7-8 )and ROI-SD regional channels(along with South SD-HD) also within this 1+ year right form day one and then increased their Platinum HD package price THEN that WOULD have been OK to us...even Price upto 550/-(from 440/) could have been justified ONLY if HBO duo Preimum HDs also provided within this 'package PRICE' along with other HD channles right from day 1....which is not happened till now and only outcome is high. Price hike to Platinum HD.

HBO wont agree to give the HD premium channels in the base pack and it itself has set rs.200 for combo of two channels.
Other HD channels like Fox traveller, NGC music are missing and hope they wont hike again if added or launch a separate HD pack with this additon.

Dear Indianmascot D2H lacks that Punch in terms of offering varied kind of channels in International channels.Most of the Indian News channels have become "VIEWS" channels so ALJAZEERA is the perfect choice.RT is again a true global neutral news channel.CCTV is china national news channel.Moving to your point of HBO premium channels I think you are much more informed than me that what kind of Movie Library they have and what they are airing is already on HBO.Than whats the point in demanding an exorbitant channel with of no use.

Rs. 40 hike is a steep hike for PLATINUM HD subscribers for addition of only one single channel and i ask all the fellow members that does any one of them has ever demanded to add crap channels like : OSCAR MOVIES, R vision HBN etc.Mere adding some exclusive non sense channels doesnt make any DTH player big in terms of max no of channels.The emphasis should be on the quality of offering by offering FOx Traveller HD etc. channels.Will wait for your response dear Invisible friend.
