Guys..Please participate in this discussion that what are the preparations doing DTHs to face digitalization.
we have to discuss about every DTH making any new things(any channel addition nor removing or any sound enhancement or anything we can discuss here.
Now my turn d2h is far ahead to face digitalization.They are adding HD channels and SD channels in rapid speed.They are enhancing Dolby sound from Mid of the December.

Some exclusive news from dish TV side.Now they are bringing ESS HD and Star cricket HD on their platform.And they talking with Dolby company to come up with 5.1 Dolby digital sound.
This is Entertainment exclusive news.

As far as I have noticed, all DTH Operators are planning to recruit abundant manpower, developing infrastructure and updating their Systems. Tata Sky has even advertised about this. Inspite of having Satellite Issue, Tata Sky has done enough preparations to tackle the crowd who gonna approach All dth operators along with Digital Cable of their area.

Advertisement wise, Tata Sky and Dish TV are still leading and again after September they will come up with Digitization theme once again. Airtel was favorite brand for customers in terms of HD 2-3 months back. But now I am sure, scenario must have changed and d2h has acquired that position.

But still I am not getting dates of addition of these channels.And still in discussions with Dolby about Dolby sound.That is the reason I didnt create a thread.
I have only gave 9x Jalwa addition in d2h first.

No worry Yaar. Creating thread is not as important as sharing the news. 1st of all , no one will pin point you for any such news.

And If people would be watching this thread, they would have got the information. Let's see how it goes.

But my question is , Will ESS HD and Dolby are more than enough for Dish TV to regain the race in digitization ??

In my view yes.Right now they have all HD channels except star network HD channels.Most demand channel are sports HD channels.If they add star network HD channels then it would be retain in no 1 position in terms of HD.Already they have more SD channels comparing to any DTH.Thanx to DD.Dolby sound also equally important now a days to gain some mileage.
One thing is positive news form Dis2h TV side is they have more space to add future HD channels which is not have D2h now.

d2h is too having lots of space but they need to procure it. After Anthrix deal scam, ISRO is very much hesitating to poke into more such deal .

ST2 is having huge number of Tps and I am sure d2h would have made a intelligent deal. Unlike Dish TV, d2h require is MPEG4 DVBS2 technology which have an advantage of adding more channels in lesser TP space.

Regarding HD channels, d2h is already heading and will keep adding more and more HD channels. So, it would be a neck-neck competition .

But Tata Sky and ADTV too must have something planned to compete these 2 operators.
