HELP Confused between Videocon d2h HD and Tata Sky HD

I am a current user of Digital cable. I want HD so I want to shift to DTH, reason is LCO is a good friend of mine, but he lack knowledge of HD and he doesn't know when HD is coming.

Other issues in Digital Cable is "
150 channels for 350RS
No HD
No EPG
NO addition of new channels

Good things are PQ/AQ of SD channels are as good as HD channels.
24x7 signal and no interruptions

Well because of HD I want to shift to DTH

I am confused between tatasky HD and Videocon d2h hd
I have a 40" sony bravia led tv full hd.

well my main issue is PQ/AQ and I want the best
many say that tatasky has better PQ/AQ then D2H,
many also say that thay have sifted to Tata fron d2h because of PQ
some say d2h has better pq

So as u have used both I have a few questions
1. which as better PQ/AQ/Sharpness/Color ??
2. which stays longer in rains ???
3. which has better customer service ???
4. which has better S/W, UI, channel changing speed ???
many say that d2h HD STB has lags and s/w problems ???
Also EPG is not complete ??
Well what should I Do ?? I am confused ??

Shall I stay and continue with Digital cable ??? As digitization in my city is in phase 3 so still time is there, may be then HD may launch, but I cant wait that long.

If DTH then which one do u suggest taking the above points into consideration ???

One big problem in d2h is that channel changing speed in d2h is pathetic.

PQ and AQ is almost same. But audio in Tata Sky is better if you are going to enjoy this in a Home Theater.

Both are equal in terms of service.

I agree with you. Channel changing speed in d2h is pathetic. And I also like the kind of channels they add on their platform, mostly good ones.

Every DTH is having merits n demerits over each other..No one is best or better than other in all service categories.

In current HD offering Tata Sky is better than d2h even with the less tp space they have utilized more in HD for last 6 months..
d2h has stuck down below par in terms of HD channel offering for last 1.5+ years..no hopes for next 1-2 months too..

in H/W n S/W STB quality TS is better than d2h in current date.
However, you can wait for d2h's upcoming M-Star integrated Future Ready HD STBs, you would be getting best features with Quality all over..

PQ,AQ of HD is same for both, In SD tally Ts is having edge over d2h..

In channels packages n overall economical packages d2h is having edge among all other Dths.

Service is acceptable for d2h.

Dear i have used both.

In all aspects Tatasky beats D2h

Just in price it is little bit expensive from D2h.

So if u are so much concious about PQ/SQ , Service Centre, UI, Hardware etc then go for Tatasky.

U r going to buy a HD box then its better to go for HD + Box DVR box.

Rest all on urs

1.PQ and AQ above 40" - tatasky(general),D2h (for north tv channels)
2.rain - d2h
3.cc - city (both are good),urban/rural (tatasky fair better than d2h).d2h totally refuse the rural customers.
4.channel change speed - d2h worst than others.i can give 2/10.

others:
For south customer tatasky is worst choice.compare with d2h south SD channels quality is worst.
tatasky is expecsive for HD customers(access fee).


if you are mainly concentrate HD pq then go with d2h,but you have a patient to change the channels. :beat:
