No, its not marketing gimmick wholly. Wireless Subscriber data is available in public domain. So, telcos can't lie about it.

At one hand these telecos defending Net Neutrality, and praising to support Net Neutrality by saying "Sab Ka Internet" and quoting that still millions of people not having access and here records are saying that 3G customers are more then 2G ?
