urban areas phase 3 is this year end. Rural areas is next year. But AFAIK, when analog cable is switched off from headend, it will be switched of in all areas where that MSO has its footprint. So the phase 4 is only for those MSO who have their headend and service in rural areas.

No, it can be switched off area wise. Lines going to rural areas from the headend will continue to have analogue signals

How aumnamonarayan bro, its not possible, as my LCO said. Signals come from headend, and LCO receives the same. The modulators, multiplexers, and transmitters of analoge channels are in the headend and when they are switched off, all areas where the MSO has service will be OFF. how is area wise possible, as LCO don't own these equipment

Not a matter to worry. There r boxes on poles where the concerned wire is connected. If a LCO/MSO wants to give both analogue and digital in my area then at the entry point of my area he can connect the wire which carries both signals while at entry point of ur area he can just connect the wire which has signals of digital stb.


Infact let alone that in my area LCO provides signals of both DEN and Hathway in diff areas. In my area LCO has control of all analogue operations and digital wire comes from another city which goes into my LCO's office feom where he does the mix matching by distributing it forward thru wires

But even if both digital and analogue are under one's control still all things r possible as i have told u
