Dishtv charges for such kind of visits but it will be free if you opt for Service contract I am not able to remember the exact name but they charges Rs. 299 for SD and Rs. 399 for HD users yearly if you opted for such scheme service visit will be free for 1 year.

Thats good....thats why i say ...it should not be more than rs. 400.

In this way...d2h is more costly....actually they should be very economical in this way because their products are buggy and need too much after sale support..but instead of helping customers they are just interested in looting ppl.

Before it was free from dishtv for old and prevailage customers by the name of "Dish Delight Member" last year at March when I upgraded to dish + Box they charged nothing for visit just took Upgradation charge and Hardware charge if any.

Yes you're right Bro. actually Agent looted peoples by the name of service when I talked to CC they told me not to pay anything because I am a special customer but Agent told me to pay visit charges but I condemned that contact CC again and then Technician comes upgraded dish + Box without Service visit charges but yes many who don't knows about dishtv can looted very easily

The Charge for Tech. visit is a controversial issue. Though every DTH Company taking the charge but it should be free because the entire service is on rent. If U surrender any connection the BOX and the DISH will be returned to the respective DTH. Then how they can charge for a rent service. In case of BSNL Landline Telephones and the Electricity service in your home does charge anything for any technical problem? even when we have the Cable service in our home I didn't remember any charges I had paid for any technical problem to the operator. All these are happened due to we use rent service from these providers. Think about it......

Actually rural customers who are dependent on dealer are most looted. 1st they are looted during purchase, then during recharge as they charge Rs 5 and 10 extra and again when service visit is required.

And this happens in every dth.

But d2h boxes are our property...means they won't take it back it we dont wanna use it nor will they refund for it.
We only can sell it on olx or quikr
