The premier was supposed to on the day before the theatrical release which is postponed for now.

Meanwhile, Kamal Hassan's dream of DTH release was not received well and the response was not up to the mark till yesterday (January 7).

On the other end, around 40 theatres promised Kamal Hassan to co-operate for the release of the film and his plans to release in 390 screens appeared far from real. Realising that Vishwaroopam was heading towards a big trouble, a corporate production house intervened to bring peace between the two parties.

As a result, Kamal and theatre-distributors had a lengthy meeting last night and the outcome of the meeting was that Vishwaroopam would not be released on January 11 as main theatres and some good screens have been booked by the makers of Alex Pandian.

The DTH premiere of Vishwaroopam has been postponed, Kamal Haasan confirmed on Wednesday.

The actor said, "Vishwaroopam release has been postponed for my convenience. I will announce release date soon. The decision is in the interest of industry."

Kamal Haasan also revealed that the DTH launch could also be on the same day of theatrical release and he would take a decision on the matter. "I will not fail my DTH partners," he said.

Kamal Hassan has been continuously discussing with TN theaters owners.They strictly said they wont allow Vishwaroopam movie on theaters if kamahassan will give this movie on DTHs.Atlast kamal hassan has to obey TN theaters owners.Now Movie has been postphoned bcoz of this only.New idea is this movie will come on DTHs on Movie release day only but as of now nothing is confirmed and they are still discussing about this.So details come soon...
