yes, new satcom policy will reveal soon and after then dth can directly lease tp from foreign sat with permission from relative ministry [ I and B ministry].

Well this is really a good news...at some point of time ISRO will be giving transponders to TS....i hope that day is not so far...

Some of our other friends have also raised queries with ISRO under RTI act regarding allotment of tps to TS. Don't know whether they got replies or not.

By going thru ISRO's letter I understand ankit filed RTI on 30th August this year.

So, reply came quite soon.

What about the other RTIs

Read some where that; they got to give a reply within 30days time. Also, the requestor can approach the court or the ombudsman for RTI incase if any misleading or wrong answer is given by the Government authority.

Recently, there was an incident in kerala, that one govt. official was fined for replying with wrong info.
