Main reason is that only. They will be exposed and have to pay more genuine money once digitization happens.

So, they are delaying citing all possible and irrelevant reasons

This is what the reason is but LCOs are also opting for cheap tactics as they're providing cheap quality Chinese STBs so by which they will get rid from this digitization :beat2:

IM Bhai, CB Bhai and Aniruddha, I say this to LCO, " U may run all u want but u cant hide for long"

Whatever reasons they give, the Govt at the centre said that by no means the dates of digitization will be extended, Courts alone can extaend the dates by 3 months, but there is no way that the dates can change.

Its a law now, the Cable TV Regulation Amendment Bill, 2011 has been passed in the parliament.
Its just a matter of few more months that will take before digitization will be completed.

I am also confused bhai.

well the LCO is local, the MSO analoge service is callled Sonali Cable vision and the digital one is called FDI

Since FDI inception i knew there was a partnering with hathway mumbai as the owner of FDI is a hathway operator there.
But i was not sure about it as on the STB it was FDI logo, then even the LCN no was same as hathway, then i got a STB manual mentioning it as as hathway, then one day i saw hathway carton box with a hathway logo

But they didnt mention it on any local channel, but from this month, they are saying put a scroll on local channel
"This channel is powered by Future Digital Infotainment Pvt. Ltd (FDI) and Hathway Sonali Cable Vision,

Which now makes it official that hathway is on the verge to acquire FDI any day soon, hope it happens soon

Analog and Digital decoders are different i think.

When I was having normal cable connection it has analog signal. I asked him that quality is not clear. He said go for digital and it will be clear.

So, i asked him. OK. Then Set Top box was introduced to me. He connected the Set Top box into that same analog signal and it become Digital.

and i was shocked with the quality. 1st thing that came to my mind was " WOW, what a clarity. Is this possible to have such quality "

and then i googled and landed on forums to be even more surprised when learnt about DTH and Satellite world :D

Yes ur right they have different decoders.

But the fun part is that, none of the hathway problems occur here. is it that FDI has signed a different agreement with broadcasters or is it that they are in a join venture (Partnership)
