The Supreme Court on Thursday brought the hammer down on the Indian Premier League spot-fixing case, ruling Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra guilty of betting on IPL matches but sparing N Srinivasan, against whom allegations of cover-up were not proved.

The apex court read out a 130-page verdict based on the final probe report submitted by the Justic Mukul Mudgal committee, wherein it stated that Meiyappan, son-in-law of Srinivasan, was indeed an official of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and did place bets on matches.

Co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals, Raj Kundra, was also found guilty of the same charges as Meiyappan. However, Srinivasan will heave a sigh of relief after the judgment delivered on Thursday.

"At best there is only a case of suspicion of cover-up against Srinivasan. He had deep-rooted interest in CSK matches; his behaviour raises suspicion but isn't proof," the court ruled.

The Supreme Court says that the power to punish the guilty vests with the BCCI but in the current context it cannot be left to the BCCI to appoint credible legal minds.

The Supreme Court has barred Srinivasan from contesting the BCCI elections!!!
That's good news but I want CSK to be bann as its harmful for Indian Cricket because dhoni always favour in csk player while choosing Indian team.

Everything is in hand of one person and that is srini mama. Either throw him out of BCCI or CSK
