Tata Sky is very clever at making money. Firstly they give minimum channels at maximum package price. Secondly as they have fixed deals with broadcasters so they come out with these Jingalala offers, so if suppose they have a fixed deal with AXN (One Alliance) for 1 year at XXX Rs. which they have to pay to them , in return they are getting YYY Rs. of revenue from people who people who have opted for such channels in packages or thru A la carte option. Now to get extra revenue and lure such people who have not taken these channels, they give such channels at discounted rate. Result is a win win situation, even if 4 lakh more people take this channel, this gives Tata Sky extra revenue of Rs. 8 Lakh.

So getting a fixed deal with broadcasters at cheapest possible rates is the key for DTH Companies, the cheaper they get such deals at the merrier their revenue is
