Secondly as they have fixed deals with broadcasters so they come out with these Jingalala offers, so if suppose they have a fixed deal with AXN (One Alliance) for 1 year at XXX Rs. which they have to pay to them , in return they are getting YYY Rs. of revenue from people who people who have opted for such channels in packages or thru A la carte option. Now to get extra revenue and lure such people who have not taken these channels, they give such channels at discounted rate. Result is a win win situation, even if 4 lakh more people take this channel, this gives Tata Sky extra revenue of Rs. 8 Lakh.
So getting a fixed deal with broadcasters at cheapest possible rates is the key for DTH Companies, the cheaper they get such deals at the merrier their revenue is
