timkamat I am getting around 12 to 15 Mbps on an average on band 40, on band 3 and 5 its lower and yeah sometimes its same as yours but a it's only for some time.

We have to thank Jio for coming into the market and lowering the price, do u remember how much a 2GB/day or 2GB/month costed before 2015?

I used to pay Rs 600 combo pack or so that time for BSNL broadband for 1.5 GB/month, today u see its very affordable

And Jio Fiber is a different service and its 1:1 ratio in fiber meaning u will get the speed for the pack u have chosen
And comparing their 4G to FTTH is not right

I have heard very good reviews for Giga fiber

Agreed, but they're not coming up with any fixed deadlines. With the service not yet launched except for the preview offers, there's a complete ambiguity about when the service will actually be launched and when it will come to my location.
I agree there's no comparison between a ftth and wireless solution, but they should come forward with time frame or the status. They do not know anything about the status. Not even about the survey.
I'm fond of Jio for what they have helped us with. But the issue is with the local team.

Then u better opt for Other ISP , if u are happy with 10mbps on Constant

U will have to pay a very little amount
Yes. When Jio comes up with the new cell site, I can decide to close the connection with local ISP.
As of now this worst speed has been hampering my productivity. My orders are getting delayed. You must be aware that for a content writer, a constant internet speed is much important. Moreover, I need to test a few softwares and write reviews. That needs a good speed.
In any case I'll not be discontinuing my JioFi connection.
Only thing is I want to get rid of BSNL. The ISP I'm considering has a plan speed of 150 Mbps till 30 GB per month and 2 mbps thereafter for the lowest plan-665 per month.
Jio has a tower agreement near me and hopefully the tower will be up by year end. It's a govt land and there are issues with clauses in the agreement.

Better take plan with no FUP with Speed of 50mbps that will be enough for You

Coz difference between 150mbps to 2mbps will be drastic , u will feel for more data on 150mbps after u consume 30GB

Services have not been commercially launched yet. They are only taking the interest. And you are misjudging it as connection request. After the interest, they will evaluate if they want tie up with local LCO or go alone. And since your area isn't wired up, and it takes huge time to gain permission to dig road. Then lay the infrastructure, rigorous testing and after all this, they can offer you a connection. You need to accept this reality. Locations which have been already wired up can expect connections starting diwali and others, need to wait much longer.
