The service engineer replaced my old STB with a new one ....
OLD STB - it was really painful to depart with the old STB as i had kept it in a very good condition just like my other electronic equipments

The learning out of this exercise - Got some good contacts in D2H. I had got several calls from D2H service team & they ensured that my problem would be fixed by EOD. one strong email can turn the system upside down.
I had asked that this could be a temporary solution as this STB might again get updated with new software. I had been ensured that this STB is capable of handling the new software. If in case the problem reoccurs i can personally contact them and would be given apt solution...
I would like to re emphasise as i have told before ......escalating your problem through right channel is very important for speedy resolution
