I just have a feeling could be emotional than rational .... i feel the new STB is quicker then the old one ....i am getting higher level of audio in most of the channel....

Yeah software makes a difference. I used to have the version 20 initially and then had a software upgrade which was buggy. Then after complaint they upgraded to version 36 through the USB way which was very good. Then finally I have upgraded to the new 2222 box paying for six months of subscription. Even though the UI and everything is the same as was in the older 2011 HD box here the Download ID version is 11.
The 2222 box has some preset audio features also when one presses the shift or star button on the remote it cycles through different present audio options such as movie, music, surround, clear surround and dynamic modes.
I have not activated the recording feature.

But why this is with older version? Why they didn't give new factory installed new version?
And yes yesterday evening i called to d2h CC. and told my problem also told that i've heard that d2h are replacing STBs which are lagging after new OTA and providing new stb with company installed new version.
But they denied and they told me that plz. switch to 101 channel (star plus) then they told i'm processing from here and he did something and my stb got restarted and he said now you will not face lag issue....but sadly i think he did nothing but just restart...Lag issue is as it is.
So what should i do? should i mail to nodal officer?

I recently wrote down a mail to Nodal officer of Gujarat, Lets see what happens and what response comes from nodal officer...
I recently got call from d2h and told me that engineer will come and check your problem but didn't reply to my mail and didn't clarify abt STB replacement. I think Gujarat's nodal officers and CC. are hard to convince.
What should i do if they deny to replace STB as i doubt that they will deny it.

Ask for latest software on replacement HD and don't pay anything as its their fault
