I would not say that i am lucky rather i would say i escalated the problem to the right people. Do some google search ... may be linked in search .. try and find the right people... write a strong yet polite email. Post your comments on FB... Do the due diligence.. and i am sure u will get your problem resolved.

Yes you are right....i followed just same way as yours...I also wrote mail in the same way as you wrote politely and strongly mentioned my all the problems precisely. Still they were not ready to replace my box...BUT BUT BUT>>>>
I was lucky enough that my old problems those were occuring frequently so till now never been lucky enough to show my problems to engineer. but today engineer was abt to come within 30 min, and certainly i got all the problems (No Signal issue due to STB and STB can't on from standby mode) so i didn't switched off my STB and kept on until engineer came and showed him all issues so he believed my probs. and changed My STB finally....i was trying it for 2 mths but never been able to show the problems as problems were frequent.

And now sad is It'll take time of 24-40 hours to activate my account. I asked the reason for that so long time so he told there are many pending requests from all over India for replacement as many STBs got dead stucking update in between. In my area also engineer replaced 14 STB and i was 15th!!!!
He had jut 1 STB left (again lucky enough) he told me that there are lot complaints that company have no STBs in stock now!!!
And other thing he told me is d2h is not going to push new version again coz of above mentioned situation.!! They will now wait, improvise and will release stable version but it will take time (It's good to wait)

15 alone in your area, it seems that almost 90% of STB has got bugged due to this new software.

They are wasting their money as well as customer time.

Engineer visited today but with old software. I had some strong conversation with senior department and finally they agreed that new software is still not coming in stock STB's but they need to manually update it which will be done tomorrow :(

He might not be totally wrong. After STB replacement, they call their dedicated helpline from their demo number for Pairing of new STB.

And when they are unable to make successful Pairing over phone due to connectivity issue, they ask their back office staff.

Similar situation has happened with me during DVR replacement. He told me that it will be done within 24 hours but it was activated within hours.

Yes Engineer was not totally wrong...first reason was that when he called to department, net connection was lost so couldn't process my activation request and second was there were many pending requests so i was in queue. But after 1 hour engineer called me that he can't process it from Rajkot (gujarat) so he processed my activation from Delhi and my STB activated within an hour.:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: :321:
