They discontinued many popular south regional channels (esp. Malayalam) to accommodate national and international channels. So while migrating to Mpeg4 technology they want to reverse the trend, also they want to set a firm impression on south portfolio and expand the footprint. :tongue:

i think 3 to 4 channels are enough to get attention of user for migration on mpeg4 for that specific genre.

I guess at this point of time with in a period of 1or 2 months TS wants to migrate Tamil, Telegu and Malayalam channels ...may be to boost their sales for Diwali & NEW Year Sales....

Its a question of adding 3 -4 Tamil Channels, 3 - 4 Telegu Channels and may be adding 10 -15 MAlayalam channels will solve TS problem immediately with respect to attracting south indian customers...once that is done probably we can expect 2 - 4 HD channels....
