A CAG inspection report has indicated that Prasar Bharati’s Rajya Sabha TV has spent Rs 1700 crore in the last four years. This has happened without any revenues generated by the channel in return. The channel went live in 2011. The report states that even before it was operational fully, directors and editors had already spent Rs 60 lakh on travel, according to media reports.
