Distribution rights are sold either only for theatrical or along with satellite rights.
bhaskarkilli is right, producer's wish to sell only theatrical or club with satellite. Its TV channel who buys from producers for limited time or no of time movie is aired.

But generally in HIndi now a days producers celling satellite rights before the movie release only.Joker movie went disaster but it was got very good satellite price almost 25 to 29cr.
