This guy has made a neat thread and step by step guide. But it also mentions that all Micromax phones and tablets are already rooted.

Oh so their devices are Pre Rooted in this case I don't think battery problem will gets solve.

Ok. in that case you may check this update too. Its new and very informative.

But try the 3rd option i.e through toolkits only. Its simple and comprehensive.
