The new Galaxy smartphone will feature a quad core processor and a 1280 x 780 pixel resolution display along with a 12 megapixel camera.

Korean smartphone and consumer electronics giant Samsung is all set for the launch of its next smartphone under its Galaxy series and will be called as the Samsung Galaxy SIII. Although no official announcement has been issued by Samsung about the device, a lot of report has been floating in the market.

Samsung has also revealed a teaser website for the upcoming Galaxy device. The website will showcase a series of teasers related to the device in the next 10 days after which the device is expected to be launched in London. The website chosen for this device is called the www.tgeltaayehxnx.com which is a jumbled form for the "The Next Galaxy".

According to reports, the Galaxy SIII would come with Samsung Exynos 4412 quad core processor which will have 1.5 GHz clock speed with a dedicated and much faster graphic engine that is expected to perform five times better than the earlier Mali graphics processor of the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will also come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its operating system running on a system with 1 GB of RAM and the display will be handled by a 4.6 inch Super Amoled plus HD display featuring a 1280 X 720 pixel resolution. The device is likely to features a 12 mega pixel camera and will get support for NFC (near field communication) and LTE (long term evolution) mobile network connectivity as well.

However information related to the pricing and availability of the device is still being kept under wraps and will only be revealed once the device is launched in the market on the May 3 in London. The device is expected to be launched in India after 1-2 weeks of its international launch as this has been the norm with most Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy S III to have quad-core Exynos 4 processor



Samsung has announced the new 32nm Exynos 4 Quad processor with four computing cores and quad-core graphics for the smartphones and tablets.
Samsung has formally announced the new quad-core Exynos family processor that will be used in its next Galaxy S III smartphone. Based on the ARM Cortex A9 architecture, Samsung has manufactured the quad-core Exynos processor using 32nm silicon fabrication process. Samsung is now ready to compete with Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor.
The next Galaxy smartphone will come with the new quad-core Exynos 4 Quad mobile processor clocked at 1.4 GHz clockspeed. Samsung claims that the new Exynos 4 Quad (quad-core) family processor enables twice the processor power at 20 per cent lower power consumption compared to the Exynos 4 Dual (Dual-core).

Galaxy SIII gets over 9 mn pre orders in 14 days
Even though the new flagship device is yet to be launched, it has received over 9 million prebooking orders.
In what could be a new record, the Samsung Galaxy SIII has received nine million preorders in just 14 days of its announcement, a Korean daily reported quoting an anonymous Samsung official.
Samsung had recently announced the launch of this flagship Galaxy smartphone for 145 countries, excluding India. Although it was being expected that the new device will be highly liked by users globally no one would have ever anticipated the level of interest it has received form fans worldwide.

Samung Galaxy S III to debut in India on May 31


The quad-core processor bearing smartphone has distinct features like voice control and eye tracking.

Samsung has some time back unveiled its much awaited Galaxy S III at a special press event in London and the good news is that the smartphone will be launched in India next week.

"Galaxy S III smartphone will be launched at an event in Delhi on May 31," a person familiar with the development told The Mobile Indian. However, a Samsung India spokesperson has denied the development.

Galaxy S III arrives with distinct set of features such as voice control and eye tracking. There are two variants of the phone out of which the model which carries a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 mobile processor will be launched in India while the other variant which has dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with LTE is for the USA market.

The Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch HD Super Amoled display that has PenTile pixel arrangement (two subpixels per pixel) and has about 306 pixels per inch pixel density. By default this display supports 1280x720 pixel resolution.

Measuring just 8.6 mm thick, the Galaxy S III is about 0.35 mm slimmer than the HTC One X but weighs 133 grams with battery included.

Samsung Galaxy S3 goes on sale in Europe

The Samsung Galaxy S3, the latest of the Samsung's android tab phone range launched in Europe on Tuesday.

Samsung Galaxy S3 will reach the Indian shores by the first week of June and will cost between Rs 34,000 to Rs 38,000.

Samsung Electronics latest Galaxy S smartphone, with the third generation model expected to be even more successful than its predecessor, which helped the South Korean company topple Apple Inc as the world's top smartphone maker.

The S3, which tracks the user's eye movements to keep the screen from dimming or turning off while in use, hit stores in 28 European and Middle East countries, including Germany and Britain, as Samsung aims to widen the gap with Apple months ahead of its rival's new iPhone, expected in the third quarter.

Samsung Galaxy S3 runs on the latest Android operating System 4.0 and comes with a 4.8-inch screen, bigger than its highly successful predecessor Galaxy S-II.
