Seems like PIX:hd: is not going to be added soon on Tata (Sky. Infact now people have stopped discussion on it. Those people who are paying for :hd:packs can easily afford PIX :hd: as far as it's current price is concerned. So I am unable to understand why T (S is is reluctant to add it on it's platform. Looking this scenario getting AXN:hd: , Animal Planet:hd: , TLC:hd: seems like a far from reality. As far as SD Channels are concerned there is no news about 9XO, MAX2 and Romedy Now. Already Tata (Sky is charging :hd: Access fee and still is not up to the mark when it comes to Channels addition. I am ready to pay the price of excellent services but at least they should offer them. I agree that their Picture and Sound quality is awesome. Their STB and Remote that they provide with Tata ( Sky+ service is at par with BSKyB but at the end of the day I would like to see more options when I turn on the TV. I don't know what's wrong with them !

Viewership and related Carriage fee is one of the major reason.

Take example of Pix HD. Although it's a popular channel but not premium. So, Sony will sign deal with Tata Sky Only when they add this channel in existing base pack. Now if Tata Sky add this channel in Base with pack, they won't earn anything extra from customers.

Also, its a paid channel and popular, so Sony won't pay any Carriage free too.

Now the challenge for Tata Sky could be how to accomodate this non-profit channel is their costly transponder space.

One solution to this problem could be Sony to pay half of the transponder space cost and rest half to be taken care by Tata Sky.
