After new ruling of Sri Lanka Govt. they forced to moved to MPEG 4 otherwise they will end up by offering less channels compare to dialog and their own Dish and other Indian DTH.
It doesn't matter what Lanka government said, when they were launching new dth they should ideally provide latest technology MPEG4 stb even if they were planning to add only MPEG2 channels

I think non recorder box is in MPEG 2 only. But yes its a foolishness they may thought of using Indian feed in the SL base pack later SL Govt. ruling they have to change their mind.

I think Dish TV should stop using new MPEG2 stb everywhere it will be good for them in future

Dish would have got unfair advantage if they were allowed to use Indian feed for Lanka operations

As of now they added channels separately.

They will shift gradually, already they have spent so much money on transponders so they will not take a double hit by spending more money on MPEG4 migration.

Anyways their customers get max channels so no need to worry, this worry should be reserved for tata sky customers
