I cannot believe this argument still continues. Content filmed for TV are shot in 16:9 and progressive scan is better than interlaced. I don't think it needs any argument it's a tech fact.

By this logic 540p should also be better than 1080iI cannot believe this argument still continues. Content filmed for TV are shot in 16:9 and progressive scan is better than interlaced. I don't think it needs any argument it's a tech fact.

Bro, 1080i has same resolution as 1080p, but things are not the same when you care to dig in.

Ok bhai. As you say I am stupid and you are Maha gyaani.I do understand pixels, but I don't think you do. It's not really 1080 pixels; with half the refresh rate, it's only 540 pixels. If you think 1080i is better than 720p just because you think it has more pixels, I'd say you've fallen for the false advertising or you're really stupid. If everyone is telling you that 720p is better than 1080i, it's because IT IS. If people tell you that the Earth is round, it's because IT IS. Use your brains dude, it is not used widely because it requires more bandwidth and resources. And that's why ONLY 720p, 1080p, or 2160p is used in movie stadiums; they don't used interlaced frames because it's quality is NOT better than that of progressive frames.
Just Google bro. It's not that hard to find. Can I have some literature supporting this. Looks like unless I read it and accept it you guys won't let me live

I have done that a lot of time and everytime it's concluded that 1080i is more superior and 720p is more worth.Just Google bro. It's not that hard to find.
