Today i had multiple exchange of communication with CEO of TATA SKY, where they made it clear that GST benefit will not be passed on to the consumer... .I have clearly told in the trail email that as consumer i have multiple option available & i may consider a change in operator as TS price is comparatively very high .. The CEO clarified that their prices are fixed and non negotiable also on GST he made it clear that the same will not be passed on to the consumer.

Read part of the communication below ... so my take on it ... if they will not pass the GST benefit to the consumer & rather then reducing the price they seems to be aggressive on price increase ... my relation with them will be very short !!!

So which dth has passed it?

Answer is none.

Even the restaurants are charging service tax @7% over and above GST but none complaining.

So don't expect anything from operators so soon.

Oh i i have filed 2 cases against hotel charging service tax ... you can deny being charged for service tax .. if hotel charges it its illegal and not as per law

you must be taking about service charge. Service charge and service tax are two different things.

Service tax doesn't exist.

Service charge is optional, if one wants can pay. There was a notification from the centre regarding this.
