Tata Motors has been gearing up for this launch for close to two years and the product strategy was in place ever since the launch of HorizonNext. Well, here it is - the Zica, in the flesh. Tata Motors today revealed the car and from what we can see it doesn't just look fresh, but also caters to a new segment where Tata hasn't entered.
Up front, the shape remind you of the Indica, but we can clearly see the evolution of the car and the Zica is pretty good looking. This new design initiative involves inputs from the company's design centres in Coventry, Turin and Pune. The front-end of the Zica will feature Tata's new signature honeycomb-grille with a chrome 'Humanity Line' that runs into the car's smoked head-lamps.
The Tata Zica gets a new set of alloy wheels too and the side profile of the car bears resemblance to the Zest. The rear profile of the car bears no resemblance to any of the cars in the Tata Motors fleet and that's extremely refreshing. The character line on the side of the car which starts from the A-pillar, culminates into the rear tail lamps and you can also see a tiny crease on the boot, which is a great design touch.
