Hi,
This is to inform that, yesterday (7 November 2017) I successfully migrated to TataSky HD from Reliance Big TV SD connection. My location is Kerala and initially, the TataSky CC told he cant provide HD set-top box for me since I'm BigTV SD customer.Then I approved it and they created a work order and received an SMS with details. Next day my Local Tata Sky Dealer called me and asked 200 Rupees extra for installation charges.
I told I cant give extra charges for installation since I know how to fix Dish antennas.So I planned to go directly to them and collect my SD box.
Then I contacted some of the local DTH technicians and inquired about TataSky HD box possibility. They told it depends on them and local dealer.
So I asked the dealer personally for an HD box and exchanged my BigTV SD box without any additional costs.
Made the first recharge of Rs 200 and installed yesterday myself.

- You could get an HD TataSky connection even if you are an SD BIG TV customer.
- The customer care guy may not approve your request for HD set-top box.
- The SD box order created by CC guy can be later canceled by a local dealer with your subscription ID remains same.
- If HD box was in stock the local dealer will make required change in Work Order.
- Hence I got HEVC HD set-top box by exchanging BigTV SD box.
- The first recharge was Rs 200 for Dhamal 199 plan with 1 regional pack free.
- I'm getting around 7 HD channels for FREE which is active in my Base pack.
- Today I recharged using PhonePe app for Rs 400 and received Rs 100 cash back.
