Following email I have sent to Tata Sky for clarification. Frankly speaking only names of Sony or Zee TV sound like counter SD channel of HD versions, but only few channels are in true sense a counter part. Examples are, Mtunes SD, Movies Now SD, History SD etc. Sony, Colors and Zee TV are all basically separate channels showing different programs than there SD version. Zee Cinema SD is another example of a channel whose name is same, but it is not SD version of the HD counter part as such. So the spirit of HD Access Policy as without any doubt, that you subscribe Ten Sports and watch Ten HD, subscribe Zee TV and watch Zee TV HD and so on. In you notice, from the time of introduction of HD Access Fee, with the definition they have given, there has not been any addition whose SD counter part is already in any base pack, virtually making every HD channel an a-la-carte.

"Hi,
During introduction of HD Access Fee, it was told by Tata Sky that we have to pay HD Access Fee and subscribe a corresponding SD channel to view HD channel.
For example to view Sony HD, I need to subscribe Sony SD.
Now for Ten HD, which SD channel should I subscribe, according to this policy.
Please find attached the details of the policy you had shared earlier with us."
@bhatt sir,
They have violated the HD Access Rule, by allowing Mtunes HD available if you subscribe "Music Pack", by allowing Ten HD with subscription of Ten Pack. Or by asking to have HD Access Fee for Star world HD (since there is no counter SD, it should be clean a-la-carte with no question of HD Access Pack).
