For next 5 years, I dont see any channel in UHD. We can only expect event based UHD content for Sports events

There is no competition between d2h and TS on UHD, d2h launching UHD for their upcoming IPO they wants to show the world that why d2h is fastest growing DTH as they're moving before time on technology point of view.

I think it would be better if they tie up together to provide world Cup in 4K. It will benefit them and us too.

Star would be spending X cost on 4k camera and transmission. So they must be expecting Y amount over and above X to remain in profit.

Now the more will be operators, lesser would be the burden to sum up Y.

Hope TS would allow Star to give feed to D2H....otherwise TS may want to become sole UHD provider........

I don't think any DTH alone can afford cost of this high profile event solely. They will have to tie up.

Don't think only STAR paying for everything ICC also needs to share the bare of UHD transmission. Also other Countries broadcasters will paid the broadcasting rights to ICC and STAR so even if they don't provide UHD feed to d2h STAR will loose nothing.
