Discussion Videocon DTH New Diamond vs TataSky Ultra Comparision

I should Thank Entertainment Forum and members for giving clear cut information. After lot of confusion in choosing the package my final list had Videocon DTH New Diamond vs TataSky Ultra packages


1. Cost :

Package cost for new installation from e-commerce sites.

Videocon D2H New Diamond 1 year Package - 6070
TataSky DTH Ultra 1 Year Package - 6695

Here videocon looks better but not much price difference.


3. Regional Channels :

In Videocon DTH you will get all 4 regions ( Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam) when you subscribe for New South Diamond.

In Tata Sky we can choose only 2 Regions.

In our home we watch only Tamil & Telugu so this was not a problem to us.


4. Kids Channel and Business News:

Both has most of the kids Channel and Business News

5. HD channels :

Tata SKy Provide 54 HD Channels in Ultra Package.
Videocon Provide 39 HD Channels in New Diamond Package.

TataSky had a Edge over Videocon as they provide below additional 14 HD Channels.

Last year I was using Videocon DTH but due to additional HD channels in Tata SKY I decided to buy Tata SKY. I booked yesterday and it was installed last night itself.
