Now the tamilnadu theatre association has given a notice that they wont co-operate in screening the films that airs on dths/other medias before the theatrical release.

and it would be a big blow to theatres too as other releases arent much good.

I am sure Kamal would have Plan B for such scenario.

kamal was the one who pressurised theatres to install DTS for his film kuruthipunal which was the first indian film to have DTS in '97.

But honestly speaking, if Theater owner's didn't agreed to screen and Kamal somehow survived, it will be a big defeat for theater owners.

yes IndianMascot, he had seen many failures in his films, Most of his films wont fare well in theatres but have replay value. Whenever kamal's name pops up,women brand him as a mouth-kisser like that of emraan.

Even if it didn't earn from theatre, he again can earn via satellite rights & if I am not wrong Satellite rights has already been sold for Rs 10 crore only for Tamil language.

jaya tv was shocked on kamal's dth plan and they had negotiated to reduce the amt. Also at the last min, satellite rights were changed from vijay tv to jaya tv.
